Overall Reflection
History and theory of architecture make me aware of the importance of learning from the past because some architectural methods have been forgotten over time. The Architectural Theory and History module allow me to explore different periods of architecture and teaches me about the significance of the different structures, layouts, and architectural elements that once existed. The lessons given were very informative and helpful. Besides the physics lectures, the lectures are pre-recorded and the Walter AI allows me to refresh my memory of what I learned during the day of the lecture. My lecturers and tutors were very responsive and interactive to keep us engaged in the module during the class. The TGC's that I have learned for this module include digital literacy, lifelong learning, and intrapersonal skills.
Project 1
Analysis Report
The history of architecture charts the evolution of architecture using a variety of customs, geographical locations, overarching stylistic fads, and historical periods. The historical diversity produces an extremely lively architectural fabric. However, there is a chance that many old structures will be torn down to make place for more modern structures. So, by taking pictures, making notes, and analysing the structures, we may help to preserve the historical proof of the priceless historical architecture.
