The module aims to familiarize students with the different components of environmental conditions and issues, emphasizing the positive and negative impacts of human intervention on the environment and the relationship between buildings and natural systems. Through lectures and discussions, students will gain a basic understanding of environmental awareness. The module also covers the fundamental elements of climate and their effects on architecture to enable students to develop environmentally conscious and comfortable building designs. The module includes various formative and summative assessments, including assignments, tests, and case studies.
Architecture and environment studies are critical for understanding the relationship between the built environment and the natural world. Through my studies in this field, I have come to appreciate the importance of designing buildings that are sustainable, energy-efficient, and environmentally conscious. I have learned about the impact of human activity on the environment and how buildings can contribute to climate change. As a future architect, I am committed to designing buildings that not only meet the needs of the occupants but also minimize their impact on the environment. I believe that by incorporating sustainable design principles into my work, I can help create a more sustainable and resilient future for our planet.
