Artificial Lighting Design Layout
Lumen Method
Description
A group consisting of six students is required to develop ideas to optimize daylight and thermal comfort in a modern house of their choice, which can be either a double-storey corner lot or a double-storey semi-detached house. After formulating their ideas, the students must conduct fieldwork, including data collection and observation of the selected house for a case study. The proposed improvements to the current distribution of daylight and thermal comfort will be based on passive design methods. As part of the fieldwork, the students may need to use relevant phone applications to collect data.

Reflection
Working as a group and facing challenges during an assignment was a challenging but rewarding experience. Despite the obstacles we encountered, we worked hard, communicated openly, and supported each other throughout the project. During this time, I developed a close relationship with one of my group members, and we formed a bond that extended beyond the assignment. We continued to keep in touch and developed a lifelong friendship. Through this experience, I learned that working with others can be an enriching experience, and even if we encounter difficulties along the way, the rewards of building friendships and learning from each other make it worthwhile.
