Assignment 1: Objectum
Students will be given the opportunity to express their understanding of the basic concepts, elements, and drawing methods through this assignment. Students will then combine a variety of drawing techniques as a tool and graphical data with accuracy, clarity, and criteria for aesthetic standards.
Progress
Students must choose two (2) items and create a series of observational drawings in two different artistic techniques. Students are expected to use drawing from observation of still life to communicate features and drawing elements in an effective and innovative manner. The objective is for students to distinguish between and compare simple line drawings without renderings and sketches with shading techniques.
Basic Line Drawing
In a line drawing, two- or three-dimensional objects are depicted by clear straight or curved lines set on a background without shading or colour gradations.
Rendering Drawing
the method of producing light, shade, and light source effects to achieve contrast in drawings. Line drawings' quality is enhanced by rendering.
